David Miliband in Brighton

The Public Meeting at the Brighthelm Centre this evening could have been described as a "sell-out" if they had been charging for entrance. Should be interesting; and encouraging that people are still willing to turn out in numbers for political meetings. Perhaps it is indicative of a new spirit abroad amongst the grass roots of the Labour Party.

  1. Yeah, but I still fell asleep listening to him whittle on with his New Labour soundbites: "I want to turn the poetry of Labour's values into the prose of government policy" Jesus. Anyone could've got up and said what he said in order to get the votes. There was no mention of how anything he said would actually happen (re-energise party, increase local democracy, etc) and no mention at all on how to fight the cuts!
